Opportunities and risks

If administered correctly by a trained doctor, Mesotherapy can help with many ailments and improve overall immunological and neurovegetative regulation. It has proven itself as a protective procedure in the therapeutic and aesthetic field and its effect has been proven in empirical studies (eg for the treatment of shoulder Calcification).

However, Mesotherapy also has its limits. The procedure can only work well when the anatomical structures are still robust enough to be treated conservatively.

While mesotherapy is considered very gentle, there are certain exclusion criteria that your therapist will not treat or will only treat under certain conditions. Therefore, in the preliminary interview, besides previous illnesses, medications and other treatments, he will ask the following points:

Intolerances and allergies
Hypertrophic scarring tendency
Severe Autoimmune Processes
Cardiovascular or metabolic disorders
Acute Infections
Eczema, Psoriasis
Epilepsy
Coagulation disorders
Pregnancy

Side effects are rare in trained hands and when all precautions are followed. These are caused by the active ingredients used or the injection technique. Redness and swelling of the skin are possible, especially when treating sensitive skin areas such as the eyes and lips. Vegetative reactions such as dizziness and nausea occur rarely. More serious side effects such as growth scars or connective tissue nodules (Granulomas) are extremely rare. Infections are often caused by unprofessional or unsanitary conditions, for example from non-medical doctors).

However, the initial reaction is typical, which can manifest with redness, peeling, swelling, and mild pain if needed. This is a phenomenon frequently observed in natural medicine and marks the beginning of the body's cleansing and repair processes. These symptoms are completely reversible and usually of short duration.
